Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.1.2.LI.3 - Apply the basic skills acquired in a game of table tennis.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State at least two basic table tennis skills (service, forehand stroke, backhand stroke) and describe when each is used in a game.
  2. Demonstrate the forehand stroke with correct grip, stance, and follow-through during a rally.
  3. Apply the service and forehand stroke in a target/zonal practice game, aiming shots into a designated quadrant of the opponent’s side.
  4. Maintain a rally of at least 5 consecutive forehand shots with a partner using correct technique.
  5. Assess a partner’s performance using simple observation criteria and provide constructive feedback.
