Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.2.1.LI.1 - Describe social media and its significant impact on people’s lives in today’s world.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define social media in Arabic (وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي) and list at least four common platforms, describing what each one is used for.
  2. Describe, in simple spoken Arabic, at least three ways social media has changed how people in Ghana communicate, learn, and do business.
  3. Express personal feelings about social media using the phrase أَشْعُرُ (I feel) followed by a reason introduced by لِأَنَّ (because), in at least three complete sentences.
  4. Work collaboratively in mixed-gender groups to identify at least three advantages and three disadvantages of social media from their own experience.
  5. Present a short spoken description (4 to 6 sentences) of social media’s impact on people’s lives, using vocabulary and phrases practiced in the lesson.
