Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.4.3.LI.2 - Write an account of a real event in not less than 20 lines with one of the famous quotes as the theme, using metaphor, and imagery.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Recall the meaning of the five famous Arabic quotations studied in this unit and restate each in their own words in English or Arabic.
  • Identify metaphor and imagery in short model paragraphs and explain how each device strengthens a written account.
  • Plan a real-life event story by choosing a suitable quotation as its theme and listing key details in sequence.
  • Write an account of a real event in Arabic of not less than 20 lines, using one famous quotation as the theme and incorporating at least one metaphor and clear imagery.
  • Revise a drafted account with a partner, checking for the required length, the use of the quotation, and the presence of metaphor and imagery.
