Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.1.3.LI.4 - Écrire un texte pour fixer, accepter ou refuser un rendez-vous (Production et interaction écrites).

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and correctly use key expressions for fixing, accepting, and refusing an appointment in written French (e.g., “Voulez-vous…?”, “Je vous propose…”, “C’est noté, je serai là.”, “Je suis désolé(e), je ne peux pas…”).
Write a short text message or WhatsApp message to fix a rendez-vous with a friend, including the date, time, and place.
Write a written response accepting a proposed rendez-vous, confirming the details (date, time, address).
Write a written response refusing a proposed rendez-vous politely, giving a brief reason.
Adapt the tone and formality of the written message (formal vs. informal) based on the recipient, such as a friend, a doctor, or a teacher.
