Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.4 - Écrire un texte sur les évènements sociaux (Production et interaction écrites).

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and list at least six key elements (date, time, place, occasion, guests, activities) that must appear in a written text about a social event.
Write a short text (a WhatsApp message, a letter, or a postcard) of 40 to 60 words announcing or describing a social event such as a birthday, a family reunion, an outing, or a public holiday celebration.
Use appropriate verbs (fêter, célébrer, aller à une fête, faire la fête, inviter des amis) and date expressions (le lundi, le 12 mars, etc.) correctly in their written texts.
Revise and edit their own written text, checking for correct use of gender agreement (masculine/feminine) and verb endings (nous form, ils/elles form), with support from a checklist.
Respond in writing to a short message (texto or WhatsApp) by confirming attendance and asking one or two relevant questions about a social event.
