By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Define a budget and identify its key components in their own words.
  • Explain at least three reasons why budgeting is relevant to personal finance management.
  • Distinguish between income, fixed expenses, and variable expenses using familiar Ghanaian examples.
  • Discuss how budgeting supports the achievement of short-term and long-term financial goals.
  • Role-play a scenario that demonstrates the relevance of budgeting in achieving a personal financial goal, using appropriate financial language.
