Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.2.1.LI.2 - Identify the regulatory authorities responsible for enforcing the environmental laws and policies in Ghana and describe their responsibilities, e.g., EPA, Mineral Commission, Forestry Commission
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least five regulatory authorities responsible for enforcing environmental laws and policies in Ghana.
- Describe the core responsibilities of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Minerals Commission, and the Forestry Commission in relation to environmental protection.
- Match specific environmental laws and policies to the regulatory body responsible for enforcing each one.
- Explain, using specific examples, how two or more regulatory bodies collaborate to protect the environment.
- Assess, in a short discussion, which regulatory body is most relevant to a given environmental issue in their community.
