Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.6.4.LI.2 - Create a personalised saving plan based on short-term and long-term financial goals

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Distinguish between short-term and long-term financial goals, giving at least two Ghanaian examples of each.
  2. Identify the key components of a personalised saving plan, including the goal, target amount, timeline, and monthly saving contribution.
  3. Calculate the monthly saving needed to reach a given financial goal within a specified time frame.
  4. Create a personalised saving plan that includes at least one short-term and one long-term financial goal, using a structured template.
  5. Justify choices made in their saving plans by explaining how their plan reflects responsible and effective saving habits discussed in Week 18.
