Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.6.2.LI.2 - Examine the role entrepreneurs play in national development

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define national development and explain at least three ways entrepreneurs contribute to it, using specific Ghanaian examples.
  2. Categorise the contributions of entrepreneurs into economic, social, and environmental benefits with at least two examples in each category.
  3. Analyse a case study of a Ghanaian entrepreneur and evaluate how their business activities have impacted their community and the nation.
  4. Work in groups to research and present findings on the benefits of entrepreneurship, using at least one digital source.
  5. Assess how entrepreneurship contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 1 (No Poverty).
