Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.5.6.LI.1 - Assess the expectations of the Ghanaian youth and how they can be met
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least five expectations the Ghanaian society has of its youth, as outlined in Ghana’s National Youth Policy (2022-2032) and other national documents.
- Explain the difference between societal expectations of youth and the personal aspirations of young people themselves.
- Assess, through discussion and analysis, how realistic or challenging it is for the youth to meet these expectations given current national conditions.
- Propose at least three practical strategies, involving both the youth themselves and other stakeholders, for meeting these expectations.
- Present a reasoned position on youth expectations using evidence from research and personal experience.
