Indicator: 2.5.4.LI.1 - Investigate opportunities for leisure and recreation
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define leisure and recreation in their own words and distinguish between the two concepts using local examples from their communities.
- Identify and classify at least five diverse leisure and recreation opportunities available in Ghana, considering their accessibility, affordability, and cultural relevance.
- Investigate local leisure and recreational facilities in their communities through a structured research project and report their findings.
- Analyse how access to leisure and recreation can differ based on gender, socio-economic status, and location (urban versus rural).
- Propose creative solutions to address challenges that limit participation in leisure and recreation activities in Ghana.
