Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.1.2.LI.3 - Discuss ways of promoting national cohesion in Ghana
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define national cohesion and explain why it matters for Ghana’s development and stability.
- Identify at least four practical ways to promote national cohesion in their schools, communities, and the nation at large.
- Analyse how Ghana’s shared values, national symbols, and institutions such as the Independence Day celebration and national durbar contribute to unity.
- Role-play a realistic scenario showing how citizens can resolve differences peacefully and build trust across ethnic, religious, and political lines.
- Evaluate at least one challenge to national cohesion and propose a workable solution, using critical thinking and evidence from class discussions.
