Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.7.2.1.3 - Lire, comprendre et réagir à un texte sur un événement passé (Réception écrite / Compréhension des écrits)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Read aloud a short French text about a past event with correct pronunciation and appropriate intonation.
Identify and underline the time markers (Il était une fois, Un jour, Le mardi passé, Tout d’abord, Ensuite, etc.) in a given text about a past event.
Answer comprehension questions in French using the question words: Qu’est-ce qui s’est passé? Quand est-ce qu’il s’est passé? Où est-ce qu’il s’est passé?
React to the text by giving a personal opinion or a simple judgement in French (e.g., C’est intéressant, J’aime cette histoire, C’était drôle).
Retell the main events of a simple text in chronological order using sequence words (Tout d’abord, Ensuite, Enfin).
