Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.5.1.1.4 - Ecrire les chiffres de 0 à 100 (Production écrite et Interaction écrite)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Write the numbers 0 to 100 in words in French, applying the patterns for numbers such as soixante-dix, quatre-vingt and quatre-vingt-dix correctly.
Write numbers from 0 to 100 in digits when they hear them spoken aloud in a dictation exercise.
Create price labels for shop items showing the price written in both digits and words.
Write out simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations in French using the correct expressions (égal, égale, plus, moins, multiplié par, divisé par).
Produce a short written inventory of shop items, writing quantities in French words, working collaboratively with classmates.

This lesson builds directly on the previous week’s oral work in B7.5.1.1.2 where learners counted aloud from 0 to 100, and connects with B7.5.1.1.3 (reading numbers and calculations) which is developed in the same week. The focus here is on the written production of the same numbers and calculations the learners have already practised orally.
