Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.4.2.1.4 - Écrire pour demander l’itinéraire ou indiquer l’itinéraire à quelqu’un (Production écrite et Interaction écrite)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Write a short text message (WhatsApp, SMS, or Telegram style) in French to ask someone for directions to a place, using at least one question form such as “Quel est le chemin pour aller à…?” or “Comment trouver le chemin?”
Write a clear written reply giving directions to a place, using at least three imperative verbs (tournez, prenez, continuez, traversez, allez) with the polite “vous” form.
Compose a complete written exchange (question and answer) between two people about how to get to a location, using the vocabulary of streets, traffic lights, bridges and intersections correctly.
Create a simple written plan or map description showing the route from one point to another in a town, using sequential markers such as “la première rue à droite,” “la deuxième rue à gauche,” “au premier feu.”
Correctly spell and use 8 to 10 key vocabulary items from the lesson in a short dictation, including words like traverser, carrefour, feu, pont, tout droit, droite, gauche.
