Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.1.1.1 - Écouter, comprendre et réagir à une conversation, une présentation dans laquelle on décrit la maison et ses environs (Réception orale / Compréhension de l’oral)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least 8 words for rooms, parts and surroundings of a house when heard in an audio recording or spoken by the teacher (chambre, salon, cuisine, toilette, garage, jardin, cour, mur).
Answer simple true/false and who/what questions in English or short French phrases after listening to a short description of a house and its surroundings.
Recognise and match descriptive words (grande, petite, blanche, en bois, en ciment) to the correct noun when heard in context.
Discriminate between similar-sounding French words heard in descriptions of houses (e.g., cour and cœur, mur and mûr) in an auditory discrimination exercise.
Respond physically or verbally (pointing, drawing, or saying “oui”/“non”) to show understanding of a spoken description of a house, following the manner of expression “Comment est la maison?” and “Où se trouve la maison?”
