- Compose a speech: - Tell what you are going to tell them (introduction) - Tell them (body). - Tell them what you told them (conclusion). - Use the following to create effect: - Emotive adjectives e.g. 'Wonderful, magnificent, fantastic, disgraceful, shocking, outrageous.' - Tripling e.g. "It's your country, it's my country, it's our future!" - Repetition - Parallel sentence structure - Powerful imagery e.g. "I have a dream." - Use of 'we' to include everyone (inclusive language) e.g. "We all know… you and I agree…"
