- Use if- clauses to construct conditional sentences (type 3) to refer to an impossible condition in the past and its probable result. E.g. If I had worked harder, I would have passed the exam. You could have been on time if you had caught the bus. - Construct and analyse given conditional sentences (1-3) into main clauses and subordinate clauses (if-clauses).
