Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
1. Discuss the causes of poor sanitation in the home, school, community, workshop/site/laboratory. E.g., Littering around, poor disposal of waste, indiscriminate defecation. 2. Discuss ways of preventing poor sanitation in school and home. E.g., Putting bins at vantage points for waste to be put in instead of putting it on the ground. 3. Undertake a project on the need for people to keep the school and community clean. E.g., clean-up exercise in the school and community. 4. Undertake a project in recycling of waste, in groups. Note: Invite an expert from the District Assembly or the Community to assist with the recycling project.
