Indicator: B8.2.2.3.8 - Plan and display own and others’ dance and drama pieces that reflect a range of different times and cultures.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Describe the key steps involved in planning a dance or drama production that reflects the history, cultures, environment and heritage of a people.
- Identify and justify appropriate tools, materials and resources needed for a planned dance or drama production.
- Select and prepare a suitable venue for showcasing a dance or drama performance.
- Participate effectively in rehearsals of a planned dance piece or drama skit, showing improvement in timing, expression and coordination.
- Present a short performance and explain the cultural or historical elements their piece represents.
