Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.2.2.5 - Plan and display own and others’ musical works that reflect a range of different times and cultures

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. plan a class concert programme that sequences musical works from different times and Ghanaian cultures in a logical order.
  2. write a short introduction for each piece that names its style, historical period and cultural origin.
  3. demonstrate rehearsal discipline by following a rehearsal schedule and giving constructive feedback to peers.
  4. perform or present their own and others’ musical works in a video-recorded class concert.
  5. evaluate the concert plan against a checklist that covers organisation, cultural representation and clarity of presentation.
