Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.2.1.2 - Plan and display own and others’ artworks that reflect the history, cultures, physical and social environment

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define the roles and responsibilities needed to plan and mount a successful art exhibition.
  2. Prepare an exhibition plan that includes artwork selection, arrangement, labelling and venue considerations.
  3. Select and preserve a collection of own and others’ artworks that reflect Ghanaian history, cultures, physical and social environments.
  4. Collaborate with peers to set up a class exhibition and assign roles such as curator, registrar, installer and publicist.
  5. Report on the exhibition process in a learner journal entry and in a short oral presentation to the class.
