Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.2.1.2.6 - Compare and contrast the benefits associated with soft or loud music
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define and explain the Italian terms piano, forte, crescendo, and diminuendo, and identify them when hearing music examples.
- Describe at least three benefits of listening to soft music and three benefits of listening to loud music.
- Compare and contrast soft and loud music by identifying at least two similarities and two differences in their effects on listeners.
- Use body language, facial expressions, and gestures to demonstrate how soft music and loud music make them feel.
- Make a reasoned judgement about when soft or loud music is more appropriate, using evidence from class discussions and personal experience.
