Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.1.1.3 - Demonstrate how to format a page (e.g. page adjustment, inserting header and footer, page numbers, breaks and orientations)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the Page Setup group on the Layout ribbon and state its purpose in Microsoft Word.
  2. Demonstrate how to change page orientation from portrait to landscape and adjust page margins.
  3. Insert a header and footer containing text such as a document title or a learner’s name.
  4. Insert page numbers that appear on every page of a document.
  5. Apply page breaks to separate content and explain the difference between a page break and a section break.
