Indicator: B8.1.1.2.1 - Explore the use of the Charms bar
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the five Charms bar icons (Search, Share, Start, Devices, Settings) and state where the Charms bar is located on the screen.
- Describe the function of each Charms bar icon in their own words.
- Demonstrate how to open the Charms bar using both mouse and keyboard methods.
- Practise using at least two Charms bar icons to perform simple tasks, such as searching for a file or adjusting settings.
- Explain how the Charms bar helps users find and use digital content quickly, linking to the Digital Literacy competency DL5.3.
