Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.1.1.1.3 - Examine the uses of the output devices: Braille printers, Impact, Inkjet, Thermal, Wax, 3D printers
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least four of the six output devices (Braille, Impact, Inkjet, Thermal, Wax, 3D) from pictures or descriptions.
- Describe the basic features of each output device, including what it prints on and how it produces output.
- Match each output device to its real-life use in Ghanaian settings (for example, receipts in shops, labels on products, braille materials for visually impaired learners).
- Explain the difference between impact and non-impact printers, and between 2D and 3D output.
- Choose an appropriate output device for a given real-life task and justify the choice.
