Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.4.2.3.1 - Demonstrate creative skills by describing characters in a story based on their actions, and according to the social and historical context.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the key features of a character description in Arabic, including physical appearance (المظهر الخارجي), personality and behaviour (الخلق والسلوك), and social relationships (العلاقات).
- Describe a character’s physical appearance and inner qualities using at least five previously learnt descriptive expressions in Arabic.
- Explain how a character’s actions reveal their personality, using examples from a short Arabic model text.
- Write a short paragraph of 4 to 6 sentences describing a character from their community (for example, a school headmaster or a community leader), including details of appearance, behaviour and relationships.
- Recognise how social and historical context shapes a character’s role and actions, and reflect this understanding in their written description.
