Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.4.1.1.3 - Show competence in writing the diacritics in their various forms in a handwritten script.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and name the diacritical marks (harakat) in Arabic: fatha, kasra, damma, sukoon, shadda, and tanween forms.
- Write the three main diacritics (fatha, kasra, damma) correctly above or below letters in a handwritten script.
- Write the tanween forms (tanween fatha, tanween kasra, tanween damma) and sukoon accurately in their correct positions.
- Apply shadda with its accompanying vowel correctly when writing simple Arabic words.
- Copy a given Arabic text of 8 to 10 words, placing all diacritics accurately in a neat handwritten script.
