Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.4.1.1.2 - Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the difference among handwritten and printed texts, of letters and numbers, and ways of dealing with each.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Distinguish between handwritten and printed Arabic texts when shown examples of both.
- State at least three key differences between handwritten and printed Arabic, including letter joining, shape variation, and font style.
- Identify handwritten and printed forms of Arabic letters and numbers when presented side by side.
- Apply the correct approach for reading handwritten texts (paying attention to context, diacritics, and letter connections) versus printed texts.
- Copy a printed Arabic sentence in their own handwriting, then explain the differences they notice between the two versions.
