Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.4.1.1.2 - Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the difference among handwritten and printed texts, of letters and numbers, and ways of dealing with each.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Distinguish between handwritten and printed Arabic texts when shown examples of both.
State at least three key differences between handwritten and printed Arabic, including letter joining, shape variation, and font style.
Identify handwritten and printed forms of Arabic letters and numbers when presented side by side.
Apply the correct approach for reading handwritten texts (paying attention to context, diacritics, and letter connections) versus printed texts.
Copy a printed Arabic sentence in their own handwriting, then explain the differences they notice between the two versions.
