Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.3.1.1.4 - Demonstrate understanding of the semi-complex verb forms (الأوزان, al-awzaan) and their sound patterns.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the additional letters (حروف الزيادة) in semi-complex verb forms derived from the trilateral root ن-ع-ل (na-‘a-la).
  2. Read aloud semi-complex verb forms with correct pronunciation, applying proper vowel endings.
  3. Match each semi-complex verb pattern to its meaning and explain the sound changes that occur.
  4. Classify given verbs according to their patterns (استفعل، انفعل، استقام-type).
  5. Apply their knowledge of sound patterns to read unfamiliar semi-complex verbs accurately in a short passage.
