Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.3.1.2 - Demonstrate understanding of grammatical rules through speech.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State the rule for forming the masculine dual by adding the suffix انِ to a singular noun, and the masculine sound plural by adding ونَ.
State the rule for forming the feminine dual by adding تانِ to a singular feminine noun, and the feminine sound plural by adding اتٌ.
Apply the correct dual and plural endings to a range of masculine and feminine profession nouns from the exemplar list when speaking.
Use dual and plural forms of the exemplar nouns correctly in short spoken sentences that also include appropriate adjectives (size, height, shape, colour).
Respond orally to questions, choosing correctly between singular, dual and plural forms based on the number of people or items being discussed.
