Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.1.4.1 - Demonstrate the ability to engage in personal conversation about likes and dislikes in relation to food.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State at least five Arabic sentences expressing foods they like, using the structure أُحِبُّ + food item (e.g., أُحِبُّ الأَرُزَّ وَالسَّلَطَةَ).
State at least five Arabic sentences expressing foods they dislike, using the structure لا أُحِبُّ + food item (e.g., لا أُحِبُّ البَصَلَ).
Use the linking word لَكِنْ (but) correctly to contrast likes and dislikes in a single compound sentence.
Ask a partner about their food preferences using the question مَاذَا تُحِبُّ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ؟ and respond appropriately with a full sentence.
Engage in a short two to three minute paired conversation about food likes and dislikes, applying vocabulary learned in earlier weeks for self-introduction and daily routine.
