Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.1.2.4.2 - Demonstrate skills in initiating appropriate expressions for courtesies and requests for favours or excuses.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and pronounce the key courtesy expressions: من فضلك (please), معذرة (excuse me), عفوا (you are welcome), and شكرا (thank you) correctly in context.
Initiate a polite request for a favour using the phrase من فضلك (please) in a complete sentence.
Respond appropriately to courtesies and apologies using the correct reply phrases learned in class.
Formulate a short dialogue of at least four exchanges involving a request for a favour and an excuse, using the target expressions.
Distinguish between situations that call for a courtesy expression and those that call for an excuse, choosing the right phrase for each context.
