Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.4.3.1.2 - Demonstrate the conversion of energy into useable forms.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- identify at least three everyday devices or activities in Ghana that involve energy conversion and state the energy change that occurs in each.
- draw simple labelled diagrams showing energy conversion chains, such as from electrical energy to light and heat energy.
- explain, with examples, why energy conversion is important for making energy usable in homes, schools, farms and industries.
- classify given energy conversions into the forms of energy involved, such as kinetic, potential, electrical, heat, light and sound energy.
- demonstrate curiosity by investigating and reporting one new example of energy conversion from their own environment, building on the previous lesson on conservation of energy.
