Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.3.4.1.2 - Categorise different farming systems

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Classify given descriptions of farming practices under the correct farming system: Land Rotation, Crop Rotation, Mixed Cropping, Mixed Farming, and Organic Farming.
  2. Identify and group farming systems currently practised in their own community under the five categories.
  3. Justify their classification by pointing out the defining feature of each farming system from a description.
  4. Create a simple table or chart that sorts local farming practices into the correct farming system categories.
