Indicator: B7.3.4.1.1 - Examine and discuss the differences among the various farming systems
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define at least five farming systems (land rotation, crop rotation, mixed cropping, mixed farming, and organic farming) in their own words.
- Identify the key characteristics of each farming system and list them accurately.
- Compare and contrast any two farming systems by stating at least two similarities and two differences.
- Discuss why farmers in different parts of Ghana choose different farming systems.
- Distinguish land rotation from crop rotation, which are the two systems learners most often confuse.
