Indicator: B7.2.1.1.2 - Describe the importance of the water cycle in nature
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State the five key importance of the water cycle, namely energy source, carrier of nutrients, improving the water table, regulating weather patterns, and provision of clean water.
- Explain, using simple examples, how each importance of the water cycle affects daily life in their community.
- Draw a labeled diagram showing how the water cycle brings benefits to a Ghanaian community.
- Use the water cycle to explain why rain falls, wells do not run dry, and rivers keep flowing throughout the year.
