Indicator: B7.1.1.2.1 - Demonstrate the knowledge of the orderly arrangement of metals, non-metals and noble gases in the periodic table

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Name and write the chemical symbols of the first 20 elements in the periodic table.
Identify at least three metals, three non-metals and two noble gases among the first 20 elements.
State that elements in the periodic table are arranged in order of increasing atomic number.
Deduce that elements in the same group of the periodic table share common properties.
Locate the positions of metals, non-metals and noble gases on a simplified periodic table.
