By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and record source information (title, author, date) and key ideas from a non-text source such as a table, chart, or graph.
- Select and organise key ideas from graphical data using headings, bullet points, and short notes.
- Write clear, accurate sentences that describe simple graphical data (figures and tables) in their own words.
- Use triggers such as colour coding, drawings, or mnemonics to make their notes more memorable.
- Present their recorded information in writing, and edit or proofread their own work for sense and accuracy.
