Indicator: B7.1.3.1.2 - Produce pure vowel sounds (long vowels) in context

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the five long vowel sounds in English: ee (as in see), ah (as in car), aw (as in saw), oo (as in moon), and er (as in bird).
  2. Produce each long vowel sound accurately in single words and in short phrases.
  3. Distinguish between long and short vowel sounds when listening to pairs of words.
  4. Use long vowel sounds correctly in connected speech during a short speaking activity.
  5. Sort given words into groups based on their long vowel sound.
