Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.1.3.1.1 - Produce pure vowel sounds (short vowels) in context
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and pronounce the seven short vowel sounds: /i/ as in sit, /e/ as in bed, /a/ as in cat, /o/ as in hot, /u/ as in put, /uh/ as in cup, and the weak schwa /ə/ as in about.
- Distinguish between the short vowel sounds when hearing words spoken by the teacher.
- Articulate short vowel sounds clearly in single words and short phrases.
- Use short vowel sounds correctly when speaking in simple classroom conversations.
