Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.1.1.3 - Use appropriate language orally to describe experiences about oneself and others

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and use correct tense structures (past, present, future) when describing their own experiences and those of others.
  2. Describe a personal experience orally using a variety of simple and compound sentences with appropriate vocabulary (nouns, adjectives, adverbs).
  3. Use at least one figurative expression (simile or idiom) naturally when narrating an experience about oneself or someone else.
  4. Describe another person’s experience in a specific situation (hospital, market, bus terminal) using appropriate language and clear sequence of events.
  5. Differentiate between describing one’s own experience and reporting another person’s experience by using the correct pronouns (I, me, my vs. he, she, him, her).
