Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.2.2.1.2 - Plan a display of own and others’ artworks that reflect the history and culture of the people in the community
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the purpose and value of an art exhibition in preserving and showcasing community history and culture.
- Develop a simple exhibition plan that includes a theme, a list of artworks, and a layout for a display space.
- Select and organise their own and classmates’ artworks from previous weeks into categories that tell a story about the community’s culture.
- Prepare artist labels and short written descriptions for at least three artworks, including the name of the artist, the title, the medium, and the cultural meaning.
- Work cooperatively in groups to assign roles and responsibilities for a planned class exhibition, demonstrating respect for the contributions of all group members.
