Indicator: B7.3.4.1.2 - Explore the use of open learning websites in the classroom
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define open learning websites and give at least two examples, such as Khan Academy, Coursera, EdX or Saylor.
- Identify at least three ways open learning websites can support classroom learning, including revision, practice exercises and watching video lessons.
- Navigate the home page of an open learning website to locate subjects, courses or search tools with teacher guidance.
- Explain how open learning websites differ from regular websites used for entertainment or social media.
- Discuss the importance of teacher guidance and internet safety when using open learning websites.
