Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.3.3.1.3 - Evaluate information security forensic auditing and criminal laws against offenders
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define forensic auditing and explain how it is used to identify people who commit data security breaches.
- Describe at least three Ghanaian laws that protect data and the sanctions or punishments attached to breaking them.
- Identify common data security breaches that happen in their own communities and match each one to the appropriate law and sanction.
- Discuss, in small groups, why it is important for all members to contribute their knowledge of local data breaches and collectively agree on the consequences.
- Evaluate whether the current sanctions for data breaches are fair and strong enough to deter offenders in Ghana, giving reasons for their opinion.
