Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.1.1.4 - Demonstrate how to spell check, carry out content translation, language setting

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the Review tab and locate the Proofing and Language group in Microsoft Word.
  2. Run a spelling and grammar check on a document and correct errors suggested by the tool.
  3. Set the proofing language of a document to English (Ghana) or another language using the Language tool.
  4. Translate a short piece of selected text from English to a local Ghanaian language (e.g., Twi, Ewe, Ga, Hausa) using the Translate tool.
  5. Use the Thesaurus to find synonyms for a word and replace it in a sentence.
