Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.3.4.1.1 - Describe kitchen essentials
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define kitchen essentials as the vital tools and equipment needed for meal preparation and service.
- Identify at least 10 different kitchen essentials found in a typical Ghanaian home or school kitchen.
- Group kitchen essentials into at least three categories based on their function in the kitchen.
- Explain the specific purpose of common kitchen essentials such as the saucepan, can opener, colander, cutting board, vegetable peeler, soup tureen and crockery.
- Speak clearly to describe a kitchen essential and its use to a partner or small group.
