Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.3.3.1.2 - Use appropriate skills for joining and assembling artefacts using the materials, tools and equipment
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate the correct technique for at least two joining methods (e.g., nailing, gluing, stitching, or knotting) using the appropriate tools and materials.
- Select the most suitable joining method for a given material and explain why that method is appropriate.
- Assemble a simple artefact (e.g., a wooden photo frame or a stitched pouch) by following the correct sequence of joining steps with accuracy.
- Check the quality of their finished artefact against a simple assessment checklist and correct any loose or weak joints.
