Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.3.1.2.2 - Demonstrate the ability to pronounce consonants with tanwin ending, and their representations in words.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the three tanwin variants (fathataan, kasrataan, dammataan) when they appear at the end of Arabic words.
  2. Pronounce consonants ending with fathataan (ً), kasrataan (ٍ), and dammataan (ٌ) accurately.
  3. Read and pronounce words containing tanwin endings as they appear in connected text.
  4. Write simple words that end with each of the three tanwin variants.
  5. Distinguish between tanwin endings and similar-looking single vowel markings from earlier lessons (Term 2, Week 12 and Term 3, Week 1).
