Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.1.5.2 - Produce the appropriate intonation of simple sentences relating to sizes and heights of family members, classmates and teachers.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Pronounce Arabic words for height and size (طويل tall, قصير short, كبير big, صغير small) with correct vowel endings.
Describe at least three family members or classmates using simple sentences with the correct intonation pattern for statements.
Ask and answer simple questions about who is tall or short, big or small, using rising intonation for questions and falling intonation for statements.
Distinguish between the intonation of a statement (falling) and a question (rising) when describing heights and sizes.
Produce a short oral description of their family or class, naming at least two people and their sizes or heights with appropriate intonation.
